infolol Editorial guide
Data collection and methodology
A transparent account of where the numbers come from and when their interpretation should be limited.
Data scope
infolol uses Riot Games' official APIs and Data Dragon static data. Published statistics cover Emerald+ ranked matches on the KR server and are grouped by the data patch and role shown on each page.
Collection currently runs within development API rate limits, so this is not a census of every ranked match. Until a production key is approved, sample sizes may remain limited. We disclose that limitation and show the observed game count on every page.
Win rate and pick rate
Win rate is wins divided by observed games for a champion-role pair. Pick rate is the share of role-level matches in which the champion was selected. Build share is the frequency of a keystone-defined build within that champion-role sample.
Each match contributes two players to every role, one per team. We convert role participant totals back to matches before calculating champion pick rate, then round only for display.
Low-sample quality gates
Champion-role samples below 100 games are not published. Samples of 100 or more are considered exploratory evidence, but still do not guarantee certainty.
At build level, a setup must have at least 30 games and a 5% share. This prevents extreme results from a handful of games from being presented as recommendations.
Tiers and recommended builds
Tiers are assigned within each role using a relative score that combines win rate and pick rate. Data below the publication threshold does not compete in tier ranking. Builds are grouped by keystone and up to three sufficiently common variants are shown.
A common build is not automatically best into every opponent or composition. Detail-page analysis and editorial guides explain which conditions to check before applying the aggregate result.
Updates and corrections
The patch number and collection date at the top of a page identify the dataset. After ten days without collection, statistics are labeled as an archived snapshot and removed from search indexing. New-patch statistics may remain hidden until they meet the quality gate.
When we identify a collection or calculation error, we hide misleading output, correct the method, and rebuild from retained source records. The data-status and changelog pages document current coverage and quality-gate changes.
