Scope and bias in the KR Emerald+ sample

What the infolol sample covers, what it misses, and why it should not be generalized to every League player.

01

The observed population is KR Emerald+ ranked solo

Published statistics start from Emerald+ players in KR ranked solo games. Normal games, ARAM, custom games, and other regions are excluded from champion-build aggregation.

Mastery, game pace, and build preferences can differ by tier and region. The displayed win rate is not an average for every League player.

02

A development-key sample is not a census

Within development-key rate limits, the collector follows recent match IDs from a subset of high-ranked players. It does not download every KR ranked game from the patch, so selection bias remains.

Disclosing game count and excluding small samples reduces overstatement; it does not eliminate bias.

03

Pick-rate denominators stay inside the sample

Pick rate is the champion's share of observed games for the same role. It is not Riot's official region-wide pick rate.

If collection is concentrated in a time window or rank segment, pick rate changes with it. Different statistical sites can report different values without one number being automatically wrong.

Questions this sample can answer

The dataset can compare what appeared frequently in observed KR Emerald+ games. It cannot promise the best choice for your next match or identify a universally strongest champion across every region.

This article is a general decision guide. The appropriate choice can change with the patch and team compositions.
