Using build statistics by role

Why top, jungle, mid, ADC, and support should interpret the same statistics differently.

01

Top: matchup and a long lane

Top-lane runes and first items can change dramatically by opponent. Review matchup and lane stability before overall win rate, then consider whether your job is side-lane pressure or joining team fights.

02

Jungle: pathing and team function

A jungle build must support pathing, gank pattern, and the function missing from the team. Durability and access may matter when allies lack engage, while a damage-focused choice can work when the frontline is already secure.

03

Mid: priority and roam timing

Wave clear and first-item timing influence the whole map. A scaling build with a stronger average result may still be wrong when your composition must contest early river fights.

04

ADC and support: paired decisions

ADCs should evaluate enemy defenses and safe attack range, while supports should supply the engage, protection, or vision their partner and team need. Both roles must consider lane-partner synergy instead of relying only on individual statistics.

  • ADC: choose between critical strike, on-hit, and penetration based on enemy defenses.
  • Support: fill the team's missing engage, protection, or poke function.
  • Both: account for first recall timing and the 2v2 matchup.
